Vivian used the camera to capture every streets of New York and different people’s appearence, as a photographer, she also take self ortrait of herself, which also recorded her behaviour and mood somehow.
Ren Hang
Ren Hang
I can't say that I know Ren Hang's work, as an artist, his work presents the ideas of unconscious minds, so as the dream and fantasy. To say that I'm not sure if I really understand his work might because I've never seen the style of photos, (First time seeing it is in the mood "Aperture"). However I do think he is a clever artist, he has his own taste of life, and bravely represented it, record it, and showed to the world, as making people being aware that there is such a group of people living in china, as china has always been very feudal, and tried to make everything that was shown in publish positive and 'propriety'. Ren Hang is not famous because of the bold, naked in his photo, but having a personal style that is recognizable, in either his composition or the lighting, the way he presents his work all make me memorizable, Which it has also related to the sentence that I love the most: it is not the most perfect and beautiful photo, but it is the most important one'. I do not understand the meaning behind each piece of his works, but I simply liked it because it is important to himself, and it is personal, a memory that belongs to him.
Tetsuya Ishida
Tetsuya is a visual communication artist, who depict and satirist the uneasiness that is hidden in our everyday life through surrealistic expressions. I love his work is simply because of it resonates with me, in his work he combines himself with the object that surrounds us in daily life, he enlarge the depress, the pressure he gets from the surroundings, that makes people feel the pain, the loneliness and the sense of restraint.
Itō Junj
Ito Junji is famously known as horror Japanese manga artist, many of the characters from his manga has left me a strong memory, the way he creates the characters or could say, his style is very unique, personally I find it a little cute but also terrifying, he has some great unusual ideas, that is also something that I wanted to explore.
Derrick Lin
Derrick constructs miniature worlds that serve as a direct contrast to the stacks of books and other office staples like paperclips and pencils they’re surrounded by. Often showing life’s more relaxing and sublime moments. In this way, I could also make me a small figure and set up the surroundings, so that it seems like showing my life and controlling it.

The Getty
The Los Angeles museum’s call was inspired by the account Between Art & Quarantine, which has been asking people to choose three aspects of their favorite works to recreate using anything they’ve got at home, hence the pets, kids, and vegetables in the mix. Which in this way I thought it can be a start of the creation of my dictionary, as dressing myself up into the way I wanted, smartly use up any tools/background that allows me to take photos based on my descriptions from others.
Barbara Dziadosz
Illustrated by Barbara Dziadosz, looking at it I thought maybe I can also test out how can the Description 2.0 works well as in a card format. Hence in this way, the quality of it became very important, the colors, size or the pixel will all effect very big to the final outcome.
Eugenio Cuttica
Argentinian artist Eugenio Cuttica was on view in 2018 at the MAR Museum in Buenos Aires and explored the ways subjects can achieve balance and happiness through freedom from desire. I see this also as a work that reflects herself, the way she presented in a massive way is very successful, which is also something that I could take on. (as work with photoshop to make multiples of myself)
Rottingdean Bazaar
I saw Rottingdean's work last few days on Instagram, I thought the work he creates is very unique and interesting. He changes the human body into figures in a clever way, the use of colours, tools and lighting is also a really good example to take on to my project.

Daisy Jacobs/Chris Wilder
The short film that I found interesting and discovered recently is the Two, three, and four dimensions commingle in “The Full Story” by filmmaker Daisy Jacobs and animator Chris Wilder. In their previous, highly lauded short, “The Bigger Picture”, the duo painted animations on walls, combined with sculpture components like moveable paper maché limbs, and regular ‘real world’ objects. I thought it is a new way of working in combining the method to give a different effect.
Juergen Teller
Juergen Teller is a photographer who features frequently in his own images, sometimes with his subjects and sometimes soloes.

Seth Phillips
Seth was being famous recently as his action of holding a sign with critical statements on the cardboard, as a sign. This has reminded me as to how other people would look at you with tags and signs, so I used him as a reference for my first project 'Descriptions.
Siqi Song
Animator Siqi Song explores the deeply personal implications of China’s One-Child Policy in her powerful animated short, SISTER. The film uses felt stop-motion animation to tell the story of a family that conceived two children during the years—1979 to 2015—that the Chinese government-controlled the number of children families could raise. Based on this short clip, it reminds me of the story that is also related to the one-child policy of my family, based on me and my brother in the old time. In future projects I would like to try presenting this story through photography as well.
Cindy Sherman
Sherman has captured herself in a range of guises and personas which are at turns amusing and disturbing, distasteful and affecting. To create her photographs, she assumes multiple roles of photographer, model, makeup artist, hairdresser, stylist, and wardrobe mistress. This is something that I always try with, this will be my key reference for the first project, as acting me as myself.

Alix Mair
Mair has used a different way to present her work, which the presentation of the work is as well as important, she made the photos into something 3D, into something that we could touch on and see physically instead of digitally. Which in this case, it can also be used as a installation art, and presiding audience reaction.
Jeniffer Baer
California-based graphic designer Jennifer Baer illustrated a set of coronavirus-themed posters promoting the most luxurious of staycation activities in an effort to support social distancing practices. Based on her design, it hints at me with the idea of making a dictionary that describes myself.
Jiacheng Zhang
Makeup also plays a very important role in photography, it could very much affect the concept of the photo and the harmony of it. There is some examples from Jiacheng's work, it's very clear that his work contains many of the Chinese traditional elements, and the make up choice has enhanced the impression that he gives to the audience.
